How do I create a Bitgram Social Social account?

Depending upon the device you are accessing Bitgram Social, as you hit Register button, you will be have fill up a form Sign up form and provide the fields; First Name, Last Name, Email, Username, Password and Birthday. To finish Registration of your account, you need to confirm your email.

Note: you must be at least 13 years old to create a Bitgram Social account

While you create a new password, need to keep following things in mind:

You can also make the password more complex by writing a lyrics of a song and can add special characters in the beginning or at the end.

Why was my name rejected during the signup?

We ask everyone to use the real name they go by in daily life so that you always know who you’re connecting with. To help prevent people from creating fake or malicious accounts, we block the use of certain names. We feel extremely sorry if your name was blocked by mistake.

If you're going to create a personal account make sure the following points:

  • That your name follows our guidelines.
  • Try signing up again with Bitgram Social.
  • If the problem in signing up still persists or if you think your name was rejected by mistake, please do let us know.

I can't find my Bitgram signup confirmation email.

If you registered with Bitgram using an email, we send a confirmation link to that email. If you can't find your confirmation email you can do the following:

  • Need to check your junk email folder. If you're using Gmail, check your Social emails also.
  • Need to make sure that you entered the correct email. If you provided the wrong email, you can change it and send the email again.
How do I find and add friends on Bitgram Social?

To add a friend by name while using desktop:

  • In the Search Bar that is at the top of the Bitgram page, just click that.
  • Click over there after Typing your friend’s name in to the search bar.
  • Click Add Friend next to their profile picture, to send someone a friend request,. Based on their privacy settings, some people might not have Add Friend next to their profile picture.

To find friends from your mobile phone:

You can upload your contacts from your mobile phone or email accounts, to find more friends to add.

To get suggested friends:

You can use People You May Know to find friends on Bitgram. People You May Know suggestions come from things like: friends in common, being in the same Bitgram Group or your networks.

How can I accept a friend request?

To accept a friend request:

Go to bitgramsocial/find-friends.

Click Confirm.

How to delete a friend request?

Person who sent you the request won't be notified and can't send you another request for one year, if you delete a friend request.

How to remove or cancel a friend request I sent to someone?

To cancel a friend request you sent:

Go to your sent friend requests.

Just hover over the Friend Request Sent next to the request you'd like to cancel.

Select Cancel Request > Cancel Request.

Is it possible for a member of a Bitgram group block an admin of the same group?

Yes, it is possible group member can block the group admin. But that member's group activity will still be visible to the respective group admin. Outside of the group, the group admin won't be able to see the member's activity.

How do I see the events a friend is going to?

How do I see the events a friend is going to?

  • Need to go to your friend's profile and just click About below their cover photo.
  • Go to the Events section to see a list of events where your friend is going to.

Keep in mind that you'll only see the private events a person is attending to but the condition is that you must be invited to that event.

How to respond to an event?

To respond to a public event:

  • Go to News Feed, click Events in the left menu and select the event.
  • Go to News Feed, click Events in the left menu and select the event.

Do the above steps you'll get all updates about the event and you can always change your response later.

To respond to a private event:

  • Go to your News Feed, click Events in the left menu and select the event.
  • And on just a click on Going, Maybe or Can't Go.

Note: In case of the private events, when you've viewed invitation of the event will be visible to the hosts and other guests.

To save an event:

If you wish to keep your interest in an event private, you can save it. All of the events you've saved will be listed under your upcoming events.

How to find items to buy on Marketplace?

There are two ways you can find items to buy on the Marketplace:

To browse categories: Just click a category in the left column of Marketplace to browse different category types provided there in.

For specific search: You need to type something in the search box at the top.

How to rate someone on the Marketplace?

Anyone can rate buyers and sellers on the Marketplace to help other people in the community. One can only rate someone if:

Buyers: The buyer sent at least one message to the seller, and the seller replied.

Sellers: If the seller has received at least one message from the buyer.

How to see someone's rating on the Marketplace?

To see someone's ratings on the Marketplace, go to their Marketplace profile and look for the Ratings as a Seller section. You can see in the left side to see their Ratings as a Buyer.

Please note that people can choose to make their ratings as a buyer or a seller private. How to see your own rating:

To see your own ratings, visit your Marketplace profile and look for the Ratings as a Seller and Ratings as a Buyer section.

The number of is the number of people who recommended you to the Marketplace

community. The number of is the number of people who didn't recommend you. Even you can see the feedback from people who rated you in the what you have done well so far and how can you improve sections.

Is there Privacy settings over there in Bitgarm Social?

Yes, we have provided with the Privacy settings feature in Bitgram Social as it is a Social Networking Platform so privacy is our prime concern. Your privacy settings lets you to manage basic privacy preferences. Whatever you share on Bitgram, you can choose your audience there and then.

What happens when someone re-shares my posted, who can see it?

As soon as someone clicks Share link just below your post, they will not be able to share with people who weren’t in the audience while you shared your photos, videos or status updates through Bitgram Social.

It is only those people who could see those posts when you first made them able to see them when someone clicks Share. To adjust who you share posts with you can use the audience selector.

Note: It is quite interested to note that as a friend shares a link that you have already posted, they can share the link with a comparably mass audience than you originally shared it with.

You have to review and approve tags from the non-friends. You can also review the tags that your friends add to your posts that only by turning on tag review.

Public: As you share something with Public that means anyone including people off of Bitgram Social can see it.

  • Friends (+ friends of anyone that are tagged): Friends option lets you post stuff to your friends on Bitgram Social. If anyone else is tagged to a post, then the audience encompasses to also including the tagged person and their friends. If you don't want your photo or post/s to be visible to the friends of the people you tag to, you can adjust this setting accordingly. Just Click the audience selector that is next to the story, select Custom, and uncheck the Friends .
  • Only Me: Only Me option allows you to post stuff to your timeline that is visible only to you. Posts whose target audience is Only Me will appear in your News Feed but not your friends' feeds. If someone is tagged in Only Me post, they will be able to see the post.
  • Custom: If you choose Custom, you can selectively share/hide something with specific people. You can also share with specific friend lists if you’ve set them up, such as Family or Best Friends, or hide posts from your colleague list. Using this option you can share with groups or networks you belong to.

Below are some points that can be done to keep your account secure:

You need to protect your password

It is advisable not to use your Bitgram Social password anywhere else online and never share it with anyone else. Make such a password that is hard to guess, so don't include your name/Date of birth or common words as password.

Never ever share your login information with any one

Scammers may create fake websites that look like Bitgram Social and ask you to login with your email and password. You are advised to always check the URL of the website before you enter your login information. In case of any doubt, type www.bitgramsocial.com into your browser to get to Bitgram.

It is not advisable to accept friend requests from people you don't know

  • Scammers can create fake accounts and can send you friend request.
  • If you become friend with scammers, you might allow them to spam you timeline also they may tag you in the posts and send malicious messages.

Beware of malicious software

  • Malicious software can cause damage your computer, server or computer network.
  • You need to learn the signs of an infected computer or device and how to remove malicious software.
  • You are advised to keep your web browser up to date and remove suspicious applications or browser add-ons.

Never click on the suspicious links, even if they seems to be sent from a friend or from you known company.

Why am I being asked to enter my email login information while trying to reset my Bitgram password?

We need to make sure that this Bitgram Social account belongs to you before we let you reset your password.If you hold an email account with Gmail, Hotmail or Yahoo! listed on your Bitgram Social account, you may have the option to reset your password immediately. You can enter your email login information to reset your password, instead of waiting for an email with a special code or reset link.
